I won the Olympics

I am at the Olympics and I am ready to swim as fast as I could. So me and my team walked out and then we were waiting for the whistle to go and we were off!! I swam as fast as I could and at the end at the pool we all did a tumble turn. We had to do 4 leths of the pool It was so hard. When it was the last leth I sprint finished. Thats when I found out my team won!!! I was elated! I just did the Olympics swimming and I found out that my team won!! I was glowing. We are Olympic champions!! So we took a big step and walked onto the podium I felt happy joyous euphoric and cheerful! It was a lot of fun. Every one was looking at our team. I looked at the other teams beside us and the teams were Austrailan and Canada they also cheered us on and said well done. Australia came second and Canada came third. Our team started crying! I felt amazed. After the ceremony they took some photos of us. There were 3 other people in our team and one was 19 and the other was 18 and 20. It was nearvraking. I can’t believe I am on the podium and I just won the NZ swimming gold medal. I am so proud of myself. I am only 17 years old and this is my first Olympics I am lucky. Theres so much people there I am so amazed. It was the best thing that ever happened to me. It was the best day ever. I’am so happy for me and my team we did so well at swimming we have worked so hard for this moment to get in the Olympics an this is the moment yay!!! We were about to come second but I sprint finished! We had to wait for the people to go. And then we went home.

  1. I liked how you put Austrailan and Canada in your story and I liked your picture and it is awesome. Also I liked how told us how old your team mates are. From Eshnika
